This artwork by Paul Nash achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in May last year. In the The Collection of Sir Nicholas Goodison - British Art: Innovation and Craftsmanship auction, the work Landscape of the Wittenham Clumps sold for GBP 27,720.00 (€ 32,609.94) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Paul Nash achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Bridge, Romney Marsh in October last year with an auction result of GBP 352,800.00 (€ 411,008.09).
