This artwork by Paulus Potter achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in July 2004. In the Old Master Pictures auction, the work A tethered bull covering a cow in a farmyard sold for GBP 26,290.00 (€ 39,729.98) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Paulus Potter achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Landscape with cattle and a woman cleaning a bucket by a stream in December 2020 with an auction result of GBP 1,582,500.00 (€ 1,767,793.54).

Oberer Schätzpreis um 75 % übertroffen

Dieses Kunstwerk von Paulus Potter erzielte im Juli 2004 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Old Master Pictures wurde die Arbeit A tethered bull covering a cow in a farmyard für GBP 26.290,00 (€ 39.729,98) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 15.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Paulus Potter erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Landscape with cattle and a woman cleaning a bucket by a stream im Dezember 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.582.500,00 (€ 1.767.793,54).
