Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Portrait of Ava Alice Muriel Astor (1902-1956) by Pavel Tchelitchew was auctioned at Christies in London in June 2019. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 300,000.00 – 500,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 335,250.00 (€ 376,870.72) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Pavel Tchelitchew have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Concert in December 2016 with an auction result of GBP 1,385,000.00 (€ 1,619,289.71).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Portrait of Ava Alice Muriel Astor (1902-1956) von Pavel Tchelitchew kam im Juni 2019 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 300.000,00 – 500.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 335.250,00 (€ 376.870,72) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Pavel Tchelitchew auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Concert im Dezember 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.385.000,00 (€ 1.619.289,71).
