Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Peder Mørk Mønsted could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in April 2020 for an unexpectedly low price. In the European Paintings, Drawings & Sculpture auction, the work Summer Reflections On A Lake, Silkeborg changed hands for USD 8,750.00 (€ 7,987.22) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Peder Mørk Mønsted achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Flusslandschaft im Spreewald in December 2021 with an auction result of EUR 275,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Peder Mørk Mønsted konnte im April 2020 bei Sothebys in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion European Paintings, Drawings & Sculpture wechselte die Arbeit Summer Reflections On A Lake, Silkeborg für USD 8.750,00 (€ 7.987,22) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Peder Mørk Mønsted erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Flusslandschaft im Spreewald im Dezember 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 275.000,00.
