This artwork by Peder Mørk Mønsted achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in May last year. In the 19th Century European Art auction, the work Nymølle, Ørholm sold for USD 30,240.00 (€ 28,180.04) - well above the upper estimate of USD 15,000.00. Admittedly, works by Peder Mørk Mønsted have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Flusslandschaft im Spreewald in December 2021 with an auction result of EUR 275,000.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Peder Mørk Mønsted erzielte im Mai letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 19th Century European Art wurde die Arbeit Nymølle, Ørholm für USD 30.240,00 (€ 28.180,04) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 15.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Peder Mørk Mønsted auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Flusslandschaft im Spreewald im Dezember 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 275.000,00.
