Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2019 Christies in New York held the auction European Art Part II, which included the work River through the Woods by Peder Mørk Mønsted. It changed hands for a price of USD 68,750.00 (€ 61,631.56) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 50,000.00 – 70,000.00. Admittedly, works by Peder Mørk Mønsted have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Flusslandschaft im Spreewald in December 2021 with an auction result of EUR 275,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2019 führte Christies in New York die Auktion European Art Part II durch, in der auch die Arbeit River through the Woods von Peder Mørk Mønsted zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 68.750,00 (€ 61.631,56) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 50.000,00 – 70.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Peder Mørk Mønsted auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Flusslandschaft im Spreewald im Dezember 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 275.000,00.
