A top price for Pedro Figari - as previously expected
In May 2011 Sothebys in New York held the auction A Discerning Eye: Latin American, which included the work Baile Criollo by Pedro Figari. The price achieved of USD 146,500.00 (€ 101,905.95) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 125,000.00 – 175,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Baile Criollo is the most expensive artwork by Pedro Figari that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Im Mai 2011 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion A Discerning Eye: Latin American durch, in der auch die Arbeit Baile Criollo von Pedro Figari zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 146.500,00 (€ 101.905,95) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 125.000,00 – 175.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Baile Criollo das teuerste Kunstwerk von Pedro Figari, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
