In December 2015 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Chinese Modern Paintings, which included the work Polo Match by Peng Xiancheng. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 150,000.00 (€ 17,819.32), 25% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Peng Xiancheng have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Play Polo in April this year with an auction result of HKD 96,000.00 (€ 98,034.78).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 25 % übertroffen
Im Dezember 2015 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Chinese Modern Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Polo Match von Peng Xiancheng zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 150.000,00 (€ 17.819,32) und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Peng Xiancheng auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Play Polo im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 96.000,00 (€ 98.034,78).
