This price was achieved in the auction First Open | Online at Christies in New York and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of USD 12,000.00 many times over. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Peter Schuyff; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot without title sold at auction in July 2017 with the realized price of USD 56,250.00 (€ 47,564.69).
