Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Peasant Woman In A White Headscarf by Filipp Maliavin was auctioned at Sothebys in London in December 2015. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 30,000.00 – 50,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 32,500.00 (€ 44,133.44) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Filipp Maliavin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Three Babas in November 2014 with an auction result of GBP 434,500.00 (€ 546,286.46).
