Auction result well in line with expectations

The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 4,000.00 – 6,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 4,125.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Pieter Cornelis Dommersen have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A river estuary with fishermen unloading the catch with a two-master beyond. in October 2001 with an auction result of EUR 30,550.00.

Die Arbeit Dutch Fishermen Off Durgerdam von Pieter Cornelis Dommersen kam im April 2008 bei Sothebys in Amsterdam zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 4.125,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
