In March 2000 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Pictures, Watercolours and Drawings, which included the work Cows on a farmyard with a village in the distance, in summer by Pieter Gerardus van Os. The »bidding war« ended at NLG 17,553.00 (€ 7,467.45), 46% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Pieter Gerardus van Os - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A wooded winter landscape with deers, which sold at auction in November 2011 for EUR 29,800.00.

Im März 2000 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Pictures, Watercolours and Drawings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Cows on a farmyard with a village in the distance, in summer von Pieter Gerardus van Os zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von NLG 17.553,00 (€ 7.467,45) und damit 46% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Pieter Gerardus van Os mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A wooded winter landscape with deers beobachtet, die im November 2011 für EUR 29.800,00 versteigert wurde.
