Auction result well in line with expectations

The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 3,450.00 (€ 3,603.51) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Pietro Barucci have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Traghetto sul lago in December 2001 with an auction result of ITL 29,400,000.00 (€ 26,424.00).

Die Arbeit Casting the nets von Pietro Barucci kam im März 2000 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 3.450,00 (€ 3.603,51) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Pietro Barucci auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Traghetto sul lago im Dezember 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von ITL 29.400.000,00 (€ 26.424,00).
