In March 2019 China Guardian in Hong Kong held the auction Important Collections of Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy from Asia, which included the work Chess Playing by Qian Hui'an. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 200,600.00 (€ 22,761.35), 67% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Qian Hui'an - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Figures, which sold at auction in October 2011 for HKD 860,000.00 (€ 79,420.66).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 67 % übertroffen
Im März 2019 führte China Guardian in Hong Kong die Auktion Important Collections of Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy from Asia durch, in der auch die Arbeit Chess Playing von Qian Hui'an zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 200.600,00 (€ 22.761,35) und damit 67% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Qian Hui'an mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Figures beobachtet, die im Oktober 2011 für HKD 860.000,00 (€ 79.420,66) versteigert wurde.
