Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Wine Party at the Summer Garden by Qiu Ying was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in December 2008. The price achieved of HKD 3,860,000.00 (€ 357,741.22) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 3,500,000.00 – 4,500,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Qiu Ying achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Celestial Mountains and Pavilions in June this year with an auction result of HKD 31,230,000.00 (€ 3,649,219.78).
