Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Italian Festivities In The Campagna by Raffaello Sorbi was auctioned at Sothebys in London in November 2009. The price achieved of GBP 6,875.00 (€ 7,523.80) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Raffaello Sorbi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Italian saltarello Cavallucio (A Game Of Leapfrog) in November 2012 with an auction result of USD 326,500.00 (€ 250,960.80).
