Auction result well in line with expectations
The work La fontaine à Hyères by Raoul Dufy was sold in the Five Private Collections auction at Christies in London in July this year. The price achieved of GBP 50,400 (€ 60,187) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been given by the auction house as GBP 40,000 - 60,000. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Raoul Dufy achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Les Regattes À Trouville in February 2015 with an auction result of GBP 1,505,000 (€ 2,075,171).

Die Arbeit La fontaine à Hyères von Raoul Dufy wurde im Juli diesen Jahres in der Auktion Five Private Collections bei Christies in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 50.400 (€ 60.187) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 40.000 – 60.000 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Raoul Dufy erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Les Regattes À Trouville im Februar 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.505.000 (€ 2.075.171).
