Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Queensland landscape by Ray Crooke was sold in the Australian Art auction at Christies in London in September 2013. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 3,500.00 (€ 4,183.71) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ray Crooke achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Australian The Shell in April 2008 with an auction result of AUD 72,000.00 (€ 43,561.66).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Queensland landscape von Ray Crooke wurde im September 2013 in der Auktion Australian Art bei Christies in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 3.500,00 (€ 4.183,71) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ray Crooke erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Australian The Shell im April 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von AUD 72.000,00 (€ 43.561,66).
