Auction result well in line with expectations
In August 2020 Christies in New York held the auction American Art Online, which included the work Carousel and Girls on a Boardwalk: A Double-Sided Work by Reginald Marsh. It changed hands for a price of USD 17,500.00 (€ 14,661.53) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Reginald Marsh achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Merry-Go-Round in November 2015 with an auction result of USD 790,000.00 (€ 747,964.40).
