Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Zhong Kui by Ren Yi was sold in the Fine Chinese Modern Paintings auction at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2008. It changed hands for a price of HKD 787,500.00 (€ 64,832.10) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 600,000.00 – 800,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ren Yi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Birds and Flowers in October 2012 with an auction result of HKD 17,250,000.00 (€ 1,717,278.90).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Zhong Kui von Ren Yi wurde im Mai 2008 in der Auktion Fine Chinese Modern Paintings bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 787.500,00 (€ 64.832,10) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 600.000,00 – 800.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ren Yi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Birds and Flowers im Oktober 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 17.250.000,00 (€ 1.717.278,90).
