The work Leyli and Majnun by Reza Derakshani was sold in the Middle Eastern Art Online Sale auction at Bonhams in London in March 2021. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 24,000.00 (€ 28,193.82), 60% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Reza Derakshani have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in March 2016 with an auction result of USD 221,000.00 (€ 194,029.85).

Die Arbeit Leyli and Majnun von Reza Derakshani wurde im März 2021 in der Auktion Middle Eastern Art Online Sale bei Bonhams in London versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 24.000,00 (€ 28.193,82) und damit 60% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Reza Derakshani auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ohne Titel im März 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 221.000,00 (€ 194.029,85).
