Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Audrey Hepburn in 'Paris Pursuit' for Harper's Bazaar, 1959 by Richard Avedon was auctioned at Christies in London in September 2017. It changed hands for a price of GBP 5,625.00 (€ 6,381.63) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Richard Avedon achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Beatles Portfolio: John Lennon, Ringo Starr, George Harrison and Paul McCartney, London in November last year with an auction result of GBP 809,000.00 (€ 937,446.28).

Die Arbeit Audrey Hepburn in 'Paris Pursuit' for Harper's Bazaar, 1959 von Richard Avedon kam im September 2017 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 5.625,00 (€ 6.381,63) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Richard Avedon erzielen.
