In the Avedon : Photographies provenant de la Fondation Richard Avedon auction, the work Pablo Picasso, April 1958 sold for EUR 97,000.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 35,000.00. Admittedly, works by Richard Avedon have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Beatles Portfolio: John Lennon, Ringo Starr, George Harrison and Paul McCartney, London in November last year with an auction result of GBP 809,000.00 (€ 937,446.28).
