In the BRITISH AND VICTORIAN PICTURES auction, the work Figures before a cottage in a wooded landscape sold for GBP 2,350.00 (€ 3,739.59) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 800.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Richard Hilder - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A Cottage With Figures And Livestock By A River, Surrey, which sold at auction in June 2008 for GBP 7,250.00 (€ 9,164.24).
