Artwork auctioned at five times the upper estimate price
The work Frozen Bark by Robert Nava was worth GBP 478,800.00 (€ 567,671.29) to a buyer in March last year. This price was achieved in the auction The Now Evening Auction at Sothebys in London and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of GBP 80,000.00 many times over. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Robert Nava; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Before Minotaur sold at auction in October last year with the realized price of GBP 639,600.00 (€ 745,126.92).
