Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A horse-drawn stall before a Copenhagen canal by Robert Panitzsch was sold in the British and Continental Pictures and Works on Paper auction at Christies in London in January 2003. It changed hands for a price of GBP 376.00 (€ 575.89) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 200.00 – 400.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Robert Panitzsch achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Fishing boats at the quay, Copenhagen in August 2002 with an auction result of GBP 4,700.00 (€ 7,417.62).
