Upper estimated price slightly exceeded

The work The Holyhead Semaphore Station Of 1826 by Robert Salmon was sold in the American Art auction at Christies in New York in September 2015. Here, the upper estimate of USD 15,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 16,250.00 (€ 14,558.32). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Robert Salmon achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Royal Naval Vessels Off Pembroke Dock, Milford Haven in June 2009 with an auction result of USD 242,500.00 (€ 172,967.19).

Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen

Die Arbeit The Holyhead Semaphore Station Of 1826 von Robert Salmon wurde im September 2015 in der Auktion American Art bei Christies in New York versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 15.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 16.250,00 (€ 14.558,32) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Robert Salmon erzielen.
