Auction result well in line with expectations
In July this year Bonhams in London held the auction Home & Interiors, which included the work The old smokies by Robert William Wood. The price achieved of USD 1,280.00 (€ 1,161.52) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 1,000.00 – 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Robert William Wood achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Floral hillside in April 2019 with an auction result of USD 21,325.00 (€ 19,038.48).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli diesen Jahres führte Bonhams in London die Auktion Home & Interiors durch, in der auch die Arbeit The old smokies von Robert William Wood zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 1.280,00 (€ 1.161,52) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 1.000,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Robert William Wood erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Floral hillside im April 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 21.325,00 (€ 19.038,48).
