Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In January 2019 Christies in New York held the auction Old Master & British Drawings, which included the work A cowherd driving cattle by Rosa Bonheur. The »bidding war« ended at USD 6,000.00 (€ 5,238.34), 20% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Rosa Bonheur achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Le Roi de la forêt in May 2017 with an auction result of USD 607,500.00 (€ 540,672.84).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Januar 2019 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Old Master & British Drawings durch, in der auch die Arbeit A cowherd driving cattle von Rosa Bonheur zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 6.000,00 (€ 5.238,34) und damit 20% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Rosa Bonheur erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Le Roi de la forêt im Mai 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 607.500,00 (€ 540.672,84).
