This artwork by Salman Toor achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in March last year. In the The Now Evening Auction auction, the work Floating Bookshelf II sold for GBP 239,400.00 (€ 283,835.64) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 120,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Salman Toor - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work 4 Guests, which sold at auction in November last year for USD 856,800.00 (€ 829,991.28).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Salman Toor erzielte im März letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion The Now Evening Auction wurde die Arbeit Floating Bookshelf II für GBP 239.400,00 (€ 283.835,64) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 120.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Salman Toor mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit 4 Guests beobachtet, die im November letzten Jahres für USD 856.800,00 (€ 829.991,28) versteigert wurde.
