Upper estimated price slightly exceeded

Here, the upper estimate of GBP 3,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 3,055.00 (€ 5,221.87). Admittedly, works by Salomon Rombouts have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A village kermesse with figures in July 2019 with an auction result of GBP 45,000.00 (€ 49,407.01).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit A wooded landscape with a mother and child on a track von Salomon Rombouts wurde im Oktober 2000 in der Auktion OLD MASTER PICTURES bei Christies in London versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 3.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 3.055,00 (€ 5.221,87) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Salomon Rombouts auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A village kermesse with figures im Juli 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 45.000,00 (€ 49.407,01).
