Upper estimated price slightly exceeded

Here, the upper estimate of GBP 2,500.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 2,640.00 (€ 3,897.47). Other works by Samuel Atkins have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of GBP 4,000.00 (€ 4,779.99) in November 2010 for the work The Honourable East India Company's ships Devonshire, Woodford and Lord Duncan lying on the Thames off Blackwall (illustrated) ; View of Battersea; and View of Penny's Dockyard at Blackwall (illustrated).

Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 2.500,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 2.640,00 (€ 3.897,47) einen neuen Besitzer.
