The »bidding war« ended at USD 137,000.00 (€ 100,779.76), 71% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Shakir Hassan Al Said - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Hob Al-Watan Min Al Iman (Loving The Homeland Is Part Of Faith), which sold at auction in June 2021 for GBP 175,250.00 (€ 204,211.81).
