Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2019 Artcurial in Paris held the auction Urban & Pop Contemporary, which included the work Make Art Not War - 2013 by Shepard Fairey. The price achieved of EUR 6,098.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Shepard Fairey achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Obama Hope in October 2020 with an auction result of USD 600,800.00 (€ 515,840.99).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2019 führte Artcurial in Paris die Auktion Urban & Pop Contemporary durch, in der auch die Arbeit Make Art Not War - 2013 von Shepard Fairey zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 6.098,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Shepard Fairey erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Obama Hope im Oktober 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 600.800,00 (€ 515.840,99).
