Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The incoming storm, Glencoe by Sidney Richard Percy was auctioned at Christies in London in December 2016. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 6,000.00 – 10,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 6,875.00 (€ 8,037.99) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Sidney Richard Percy achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Cader Idris, North Wales in July 2013 with an auction result of GBP 73,875.00 (€ 84,415.06).

Die Arbeit The incoming storm, Glencoe von Sidney Richard Percy kam im Dezember 2016 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 6.000,00 – 10.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 6.875,00 (€ 8.037,99) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Sidney Richard Percy erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Cader Idris, North Wales im Juli 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 73.875,00 (€ 84.415,06).
