Auction result well in line with expectations

In October 2014 Christies in London held the auction Topographical Pictures, which included the work A drover and cattle, Ambleside by Hans Heysen. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 10,625.00 (€ 13,566.59) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Hans Heysen have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Morning Mist in March 2005 with an auction result of AUD 203,150.00 (€ 124,374.35).

Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen

Im Oktober 2014 führte Christies in London die Auktion Topographical Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit A drover and cattle, Ambleside von Hans Heysen zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 10.625,00 (€ 13.566,59) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Hans Heysen auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Morning Mist im März 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von AUD 203.150,00 (€ 124.374,35).
