Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2013 Christies in London held the auction Australian Art, which included the work Landscape with bird by Sidney Nolan. The price achieved of GBP 5,000.00 (€ 5,976.73) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Sidney Nolan achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Gully (Ned Kelly) in December 2007 with an auction result of GBP 264,500.00 (€ 359,410.63).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2013 führte Christies in London die Auktion Australian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Landscape with bird von Sidney Nolan zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 5.000,00 (€ 5.976,73) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Sidney Nolan erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Gully (Ned Kelly) im Dezember 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 264.500,00 (€ 359.410,63).
