In October 2003 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction FINE CLASSICAL CHINESE PAINTINGS AND CALLIGRAPHY, which included the work Excerpt From The Shu'Pu In Running Cursive Script Calligraphy by Song Cao. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 65,725.00 (€ 7,286.42), 31% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Song Cao achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Poem In Cursive Script in September 2012 with an auction result of USD 158,500.00 (€ 123,288.74).

Im Oktober 2003 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion FINE CLASSICAL CHINESE PAINTINGS AND CALLIGRAPHY durch, in der auch die Arbeit Excerpt From The Shu'Pu In Running Cursive Script Calligraphy von Song Cao zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 65.725,00 (€ 7.286,42) und damit 31% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Song Cao erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Poem In Cursive Script im September 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 158.500,00 (€ 123.288,74).
