Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Song Wenzhi achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in September 2019. In the Fine Chinese Paintings auction, the work Mount Lu sold for USD 13,750.00 (€ 12,608.90) - well above the upper estimate of USD 6,400.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Song Wenzhi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work River in October 2018 with an auction result of HKD 2,478,000.00 (€ 279,026.47).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Song Wenzhi erzielte im September 2019 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings wurde die Arbeit Mount Lu für USD 13.750,00 (€ 12.608,90) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 6.400,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Song Wenzhi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit River im Oktober 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 2.478.000,00 (€ 279.026,47).
