Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Dua Penari Legong (Two Legong Dancers) by Srihadi Soedarsono was sold in the Modern & Contemporary Southeast Asian Art auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2015. The price achieved of HKD 312,500.00 (€ 36,115.84) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 250,000.00 – 380,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Srihadi Soedarsono achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Dalam Meditasi Bedhoyo Ketawang (State Of Meditation - Bedhoyo Ketawang) in July 2020 with an auction result of HKD 3,500,000.00 (€ 383,472.06).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Dua Penari Legong (Two Legong Dancers) von Srihadi Soedarsono wurde im April 2015 in der Auktion Modern & Contemporary Southeast Asian Art bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 312.500,00 (€ 36.115,84) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 250.000,00 – 380.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Srihadi Soedarsono erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Dalam Meditasi Bedhoyo Ketawang (State Of Meditation - Bedhoyo Ketawang) im Juli 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 3.500.000,00 (€ 383.472,06).
