etching and aquatint in colors, 1977, on Amgoumois handmade, signed and dated in pencil, numbered 11/45 (there were also 12 artist's proofs), with the Tyler Graphics Ltd. blindstamp, Mount Kisco, New York, with full margins, a tiny stain at the lower left margin edge, otherwise apparently in very good condition, not examined out of the frame

Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Stanley Boxer could be acquired at Christies in New York in July 2003 for an unexpectedly low price. In the THE HOUSE SALE auction, the work Spawnofcloverwithcuriousoccupants (Tyler Graphics 103:SB15) changed hands for USD 23.90 (€ 19.42) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 500.00 – 700.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Stanley Boxer achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Lafayette Blush in May 2015 with an auction result of USD 13,750.00 (€ 12,506.82).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Stanley Boxer konnte im Juli 2003 bei Christies in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion THE HOUSE SALE wechselte die Arbeit Spawnofcloverwithcuriousoccupants (Tyler Graphics 103:SB15) für USD 23,90 (€ 19,42) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 500,00 – 700,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Stanley Boxer erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Lafayette Blush im Mai 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 13.750,00 (€ 12.506,82).
