The »bidding war« ended at USD 10,755.00 (€ 9,264.36), 54% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Stepan Kolesnikoff achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Festival in June 2018 with an auction result of GBP 137,500.00 (€ 155,398.43).

Die Arbeit Winter Scene von Stepan Kolesnikoff wurde im Oktober 2003 in der Auktion IMPORTANT SILVER, OBJECTS OF VERTU AND RUSSIAN WORKS OF ART bei Christies in New York versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 10.755,00 (€ 9.264,36) und damit 54% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Stepan Kolesnikoff erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Festival im Juni 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 137.500,00 (€ 155.398,43).
