This artwork by Sunil Das achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in March 2006. In the MODERN AND CONTEMPORARY INDIAN ART auction, the work Untitled (Horses) sold for USD 2,880.00 (€ 2,372.52) - well above the upper estimate of USD 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Sunil Das achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Friends 1 in July 2007 with an auction result of USD 36,000.00 (€ 26,256.29).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Sunil Das erzielte im März 2006 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion MODERN AND CONTEMPORARY INDIAN ART wurde die Arbeit Untitled (Horses) für USD 2.880,00 (€ 2.372,52) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 1.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Sunil Das erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Friends 1 im Juli 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 36.000,00 (€ 26.256,29).
