Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2012 Christies in London held the auction South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art, which included the work Clocher du Village by Syed Haider Raza. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 450,000.00 – 600,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 481,250.00 (€ 595,902.08) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Syed Haider Raza have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Tapovan in March 2018 with an auction result of USD 4,452,500.00 (€ 3,614,042.21).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2012 führte Christies in London die Auktion South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Clocher du Village von Syed Haider Raza zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 450.000,00 – 600.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 481.250,00 (€ 595.902,08) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Syed Haider Raza auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Tapovan im März 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 4.452.500,00 (€ 3.614.042,21).
