Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Poem by Tao Yuanming by Tai Jingnong was sold in the Fine Chinese Paintings auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April last year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 70,000.00 – 140,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 81,900.00 (€ 9,902.31) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Tai Jingnong achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Calligraphy in Official Script in June 2015 with an auction result of HKD 937,500.00 (€ 108,425.23).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Poem by Tao Yuanming von Tai Jingnong wurde im April letzten Jahres in der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 70.000,00 – 140.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 81.900,00 (€ 9.902,31) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Tai Jingnong erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Calligraphy in Official Script im Juni 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 937.500,00 (€ 108.425,23).
