Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A Chrysanthemum Show, Yokohama by Theodore Wores was sold in the American Art auction at Sothebys in New York in May 2019. The price achieved of USD 118,750.00 (€ 106,511.79) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 100,000.00 – 150,000.00. Admittedly, works by Theodore Wores have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Chinese Musicians in November 2018 with an auction result of USD 483,000.00 (€ 426,565.40).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit A Chrysanthemum Show, Yokohama von Theodore Wores wurde im Mai 2019 in der Auktion American Art bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 118.750,00 (€ 106.511,79) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 100.000,00 – 150.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Theodore Wores auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Chinese Musicians im November 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 483.000,00 (€ 426.565,40).
