This work of art by Thomas Sidney Cooper could be acquired at Bukowski in Stockholm in December 2011 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Autumn Classic Sale auction, the work "A passing shower - sheep in the meadows" changed hands for SEK 50,000.00 (€ 5,603.95) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of SEK 60,000.00 – 80,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Thomas Sidney Cooper achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Reposing on God's Acre in February 2003 with an auction result of GBP 171,650.00 (€ 250,603.59).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Thomas Sidney Cooper konnte im Dezember 2011 bei Bukowski in Stockholm für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Autumn Classic Sale wechselte die Arbeit "A passing shower - sheep in the meadows" für SEK 50.000,00 (€ 5.603,95) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von SEK 60.000,00 – 80.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Thomas Sidney Cooper erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Reposing on God's Acre im Februar 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 171.650,00 (€ 250.603,59).
