Upper estimated price slightly exceeded

The work Rivotril by Victor Vasarely was sold in the Victor Vasarely: Prints & Multiples auction at Christies in London in July 2007. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 700.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 780.00 (€ 1,158.48). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Victor Vasarely achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Altaï Iii in February 2010 with an auction result of GBP 565,250.00 (€ 630,588.93).

Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen

Die Arbeit Rivotril von Victor Vasarely wurde im Juli 2007 in der Auktion Victor Vasarely: Prints & Multiples bei Christies in London versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 700,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 780,00 (€ 1.158,48) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Victor Vasarely erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Altaï Iii im Februar 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 565.250,00 (€ 630.588,93).
