Auction result well in line with expectations
In March this year Christies in New York held the auction Latin American Art, which included the work Self-Portrait (from Pictures of Magazines) by Vik Muniz. The price achieved of USD 37,800.00 (€ 34,768.21) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Admittedly, works by Vik Muniz have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Sugar Children: Valentina, The Fastest; Jacynthe Loves Orange Juice; Big James Sweats Buckets; Lil' Calist Can'T Swim; Valicia Bathes In Sunday Clothes; Ten Ten'S Weed Necklace in November 2015 with an auction result of USD 293,000.00 (€ 277,409.58).

Im März diesen Jahres führte Christies in New York die Auktion Latin American Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Self-Portrait (from Pictures of Magazines) von Vik Muniz zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 37.800,00 (€ 34.768,21) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben worden.
