Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Danish white Doors, Strandgade 25 by Vilhelm Hammershøi was auctioned at Sothebys in London in December 2017. The price achieved of GBP 249,000.00 (€ 280,213.03) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 200,000.00 – 300,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Vilhelm Hammershøi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Stue (Interior with an Oval Mirror) in May last year with an auction result of USD 6,300,000.00 (€ 5,870,841.49).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Danish white Doors, Strandgade 25 von Vilhelm Hammershøi kam im Dezember 2017 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 249.000,00 (€ 280.213,03) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 200.000,00 – 300.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Vilhelm Hammershøi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Stue (Interior with an Oval Mirror) im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 6.300.000,00 (€ 5.870.841,49).
